Housewarming Gift Baskets for the First Night

Moving day is exhausting. Boxes line the hallways, the kitchen is half unpacked and no one can find the kettle or the good towels. A well-composed housewarming gift basket arriving that first week offers relief and a sense of celebration at the same time. We include things the new residents can enjoy immediately, with no hunting through cartons or unlabeled boxes required.

Think of an elegant first-night kit: a serving board with artisanal crackers, preserves and fine chocolates, a pair of glassware tumblers, champagne-style non-alcoholic sparkling beverages for a toast among the boxes, a soft hand towel and a candle to make the unfamiliar rooms feel like home. Each piece is useful, beautiful and gently practical, which is exactly what a new household needs.

Keepsakes for a Home Well Loved

Beyond the immediate comforts, many clients prefer gifts that settle into the home permanently. A marble serving tray, a hand-thrown ceramic bowl, linen napkins, a carafe or a small framed botanical print can become part of the décor. We choose objects in quiet, versatile palettes that suit many interiors, from a classic Great Neck colonial to a crisp new apartment on the Upper East Side.

Tradition offers lovely inspiration too. Bread and salt, honey for sweetness and a candle for light are customs many families bring to a new threshold. We can include these symbols in a refined presentation, perhaps a loaf from a favorite bakery with a crystal salt cellar and a jar of wildflower honey, finished with a handwritten card explaining their meaning to the household.

Real Estate and Closing Gifts

Agents, brokers and attorneys on Long Island and in Manhattan often want to thank buyers at closing in a way that reflects the significance of the purchase. Our housewarming designs are frequently commissioned for exactly this moment. The gift might greet new owners on the kitchen island when they first unlock the door, or arrive a few days after they settle in.

We personalize these gifts with details the agent shares: the size of the family, a new puppy, a love of cooking or entertaining. A custom tag can carry the property address or the agent’s name, rendered in a way that feels gracious rather than promotional. We coordinate access with the agent or building management to make delivery seamless and unhurried.

Flowers, Plants and Delivery

Few things make a house feel alive faster than something green. Through our sister studio, BonVivant Florists of Great Neck, we can add a fresh arrangement, a potted orchid or an herb garden for a sunny kitchen windowsill. Plants are chosen with care for the recipient’s lifestyle, favoring varieties that thrive with minimal fuss during a busy transition, and simple care notes are always included.

We deliver throughout Great Neck, Port Washington, Manhasset, the wider Nassau County area, Long Island and New York City, and further by arrangement. Share the move-in date or preferred delivery day, and we will gladly confirm the timing. When the residents are not yet in, we can coordinate with a doorman, superintendent or agent. Budgets are discussed at consultation with Lana.
