Luxury Gift Wrapping as a Craft
Wrapping at this level is closer to tailoring than to decoration. Paper is measured against the object, scored for crisp edges and folded so seams disappear. Corners are mitered by hand, tape is concealed or avoided entirely, and ribbon is chosen for how it drapes as much as for its color. The aim is a parcel that looks inevitable, as though it could never have been dressed any other way, and that feels substantial the moment it is placed in the recipient’s hands.
Lana approaches each commission with a designer’s eye, considering the season, the setting where it will be opened and the personality of the person receiving it. A spring anniversary might call for blush tissue beneath ivory paper and a trailing silk ribbon, while a winter celebration could lean toward black, gold and velvet. We keep an evolving library of papers and trims so that no two presentations need ever look alike.
