Wedding Gift Wrapping in Ivory,Silk and Gold

Every ribbon tied as carefully as the vows themselves.

Wedding gift wrapping deserves the same devotion as the gown and the flowers. In our Great Neck studio, Lana Sverdlik dresses registry gifts, heirlooms and presents for the wedding party in hand-folded papers and silk ribbon, for celebrations throughout Nassau County, Long Island and New York City.

The Art of Wedding Gift Wrapping

At a wedding, the gift table becomes part of the décor, and guests notice it more than they admit. A parcel wrapped in pale pearlescent paper with a trailing silk ribbon quietly elevates everything around it. We treat each wedding commission as a small piece of event design, considering where the gift will be displayed, whether it will be carried through a crowded ballroom and how it will look when photographed.

Structure matters as much as beauty. Registry gifts such as crystal, porcelain and silver are cushioned and boxed before any decorative layer is added, so they survive transport, handling by venue staff and the drive home at the end of the night. The exterior is then finished by hand, with folds crisp enough to hold their shape and bows sculpted for volume rather than simply knotted flat.

Heirlooms and Gifts Within the Family

Some wedding gifts carry generations of meaning: a grandmother’s pearls, a family prayer book, a silver candlestick passed from mother to daughter. These pieces call for a presentation that honors their history. We might line a velvet box with ivory silk, tuck in a folded letter sealed with wax, and wrap the whole in fabric that can later be kept alongside the heirloom itself.

Parents often ask us to prepare a private gift to be opened before the ceremony, a moment of stillness amid the preparations. We design these to be opened easily, with a ribbon that releases cleanly and a lid that lifts without struggle, so a nervous bride or groom is not wrestling with tape minutes before walking down the aisle. Every detail is considered for the moment itself.

Presents for the Wedding Party

Bridesmaids, groomsmen, flower girls and ring bearers each deserve a parcel that feels made for them. We coordinate a family of wrapped gifts in varying sizes, united by palette but distinguished by ribbon, tag or a single floral accent. Names can be hand-lettered on heavy card, so gifts can be distributed quickly at a rehearsal dinner without confusion or a last-minute search for the right box.

Clients bring us jewelry, cufflinks, watches, robes, fragrance and personalized keepsakes to wrap for their attendants. Whatever the item, we build appropriate support inside so it arrives unmarked. For groomsmen, deeper tones such as navy, charcoal and black with brushed gold detailing often feel right, while bridesmaids’ gifts may lean blush, champagne or the exact shade of the dresses they will wear that evening.

Coordinated With Your Wedding Design

We welcome collaboration with planners and floral designers. Share your invitation suite, a sample of the table linen or the reception floral plan, and we will draw papers and ribbons from that language. Because our sister business, BonVivant Florists of Great Neck, works with the same blooms, fresh stems can be added to parcels so the gifts feel connected to the ceremony arrangements.

Wedding calendars fill early, and wrapping for a large party requires dedicated studio time. Reach out once you know the date and the number of pieces, and we will confirm timing for drop-off and collection. Delivery to venues across Nassau County, Long Island and Manhattan can be arranged, as can locations further afield by agreement. Budgets are discussed at consultation.
